ITA - if they were men, they would have been burned at the stake (and rightly so!!)

Why are we letting women get away with this? If a teacher, or anyone else, assaulted my child, they would need to PRAY for Prison - I would be a lot worse on them.....

I don't know what is wrong with these women! I am a mom of a 17 yr old girl. I am 36. I have met my daughter's friends, boys, girls. These kids crave attention! It is the role of an adult to be appropriate!! To me these women are the more pathetic people on earth!

THE CORRECT TERM FOR AN ADULT FEMALE WHO SEXUALLY VICTOMIZES BOYS IS AN "EPHEBOPHILE".

We need to insist that these reports change the verbage. These women did not "have sex with" these boys, they raped them. When the crime in downplayed with softer wording, it makes it seem less horrific. This is rape. Make no mistake about it. We need to treasure our boys as much as our girls and everyone needs to get over the idea that it is somehow less harmful to boys to be raped. That's crap! Who would wish for their son's first sexual experience to be at the hands of a predator!

I couldn't have said it better myself. Well put!

Anon Comment of 4/6/09 is just what I wanted to say.
Calling these acts of violence as "sex acts" is purposeful and harmful. To keep a society "Spartan-like" and militaristic it is necessary to soften the empathy and concern for violence against males regardless of what age group of males in question. From circumcision, to rape in prison, to movie-tv-media violence, to actual wars and sports, this system is self-serving. So I am not surprised by the language used in these reports. Whether accidental or deliberate, the effect is the same. We are conditioned to want our males, hard, tough, preferably circumcised, heterosexual, womanizing, sensitive, potential soldier, sports-loving, moneymaking, servants. So when we hear of a boy child getting raped by a female predator, our reaction is supposed to be one of elation as it shows that the boy is a young virile, heterosexual, on his way to sewing those "wild oats!" This is a twisted demented system that we have been stuck in for far too many years, and it is time we start to question and change this unhealthy way of non-thinking.

I know this immediately gets me placed on the Neanderthal list, but I don’t care…I aim to tell the truth. The fact of the matter is that the lighter sentences given to women who have sex with boys (especially if the woman is attractive) is that our society still doesn’t really consider it to be a crime. I count myself as one of them. Yeah, yeah, I know. But the long & the short of it is, that most people (whether they’ll admit it or not) don’t think of the boys as being victimized, they think of them as being extremely lucky. The only reason most of these women are given sentences at all is because of P.C. And yes, I too subscribe to the belief the boys are LUCKY. The only victims will be those who will have to hear them brag about banging foxy Ms. Teacher for the next 20 or so years.

Males have to be aroused in order to have intercourse, females do not. Rape is about the unwillingness of one of the parties. A very large percent of these boys are willing participants. The situation is not the same with male and female children.

Hello Amber, you obviously don't know and can't tell or accuse the boys for being willing participants because you are not a boy nor ever ill you be one. The fact of the matter is that even from a very tender age as young as three years old a boy can be aroused without any knowledge of sex or being attracted to females. Things can be done to get a boy and yes I mean a little boy to have an erection without his willing participation. Now if this isn't rape of a young boy, than I don't know what would qualify? You amaze me that you think you have the answers to this problem and I believe you may be exhibiting some of your own sexual dysfunctions that have come as a result of your own deviant thoughts or something that may have happened to you when you were younger. I am so sorry that you too may have been a victim of involuntary sexual abuse either recently or when you too were young. However, this does not give you the right nor the knowledge or authority to make stupid accusations such as you did towards young boys. Grow up a little before you open your mouth again on such a serious subject.
